The story of Cady Heron, a teenager who moves to the United States after living in Africa with her parents. She enters a new school and is welcomed by Janis and Damian, who introduce her to a new social structure (high school). At Janis's suggestion, Cady gets involved with the popular group led by Regina George, along with Karen and Gretchen, but soon realizes that they are cruel and manipulative. Cady then decides to make them taste their own poison.
